#TEDTalkTuesday Why you will fail to have a great career: Larry Smith at TEDxUW
Zamantungwa Khumalo October 15, 2013
This is the first version of #TEDTalkTuesday. The name is self-explanatory. I will post some of my favourite TED talks.
I first watched this one a few months ago. I couldn’t relate to it much. I may have even found it a tad annoying (mostly because of its delivery). A good friend sent it to me when I was in a bad space and asking myself questions like, “What am I meant to do? What the hell am I passionate in?” And my all-time favourite, “WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY LIFE?”. Yes, I would be screaming that last bit in my head.
A few weeks after watching it, I resolved to leave a job I was doing (arguably one of the hardest things I’ve done). I resigned. Went on holiday. And did that bold thing of chasing my dreams.
I also resolved to remain true to myself. Something that’s hard to do at times. Hard, but necessary.
I hope you all enjoy it.
To Greatness and Beyond!
